GTA 6 Retailers Are Quietly Preparing Pre-Order Pages Ahead of June 25

With GTA 6 pre-orders officially scheduled to begin on June 25, retailers around the world are already getting everything ready behind the scenes.

One of the first signs appeared in Germany, where electronics giant MediaMarkt recently launched a dedicated GTA 6 page featuring the message, “Something big is being created here.” While there’s no price, edition information, or pre-order button yet, it’s a clear indication that retailers are preparing for Rockstar’s upcoming launch.

This kind of setup is actually pretty normal. Major retailers rarely create product pages at the last second. Instead, they publish placeholder pages days in advance to build hype, attract search traffic, and prepare their systems before the publisher gives the green light. Once Rockstar officially opens pre-orders, these pages will be updated with pricing, editions, and the ability to purchase.

Current State of GTA 6 Pre-Orders

At the moment, there are no fully active GTA 6 pre-order pages available. The PlayStation Store and Xbox Store currently allow players to wishlist the game, but purchases won't become available until June 25.

MediaMarkt's placeholder page joins several other retailer listings that have surfaced in recent weeks. Some stores in Europe, including FNAC, briefly showed product codes and prices, sparking speculation among fans. However, those listings were later dismissed as placeholders and shouldn't be considered official pricing.

Meanwhile, major retailers such as GameStop, Best Buy, Walmart, Target, and Amazon have yet to reveal their final GTA 6 pages, though most are expected to activate around the same time as Rockstar's official launch.

Why Placeholder Pages Matter

Seeing retailers prepare early is actually encouraging for fans. It suggests that stores are getting their infrastructure ready ahead of what is expected to be one of the biggest game launches in history.

The appearance of MediaMarkt's page doesn't mean pre-orders are live early, but it does show that preparations are well underway. Once Rockstar flips the switch on June 25, retailers around the world should quickly update their listings with prices, edition details, and those all-important "Add to Cart" buttons.

For now, wishlisting GTA 6 on your preferred platform remains the easiest way to make sure you don't miss the moment pre-orders finally go live.
